the aesthetic emerged in the early 2010s and exploded across the internet in 2020-2021, when everyone was inside and the internet started dreaming.

dreamcore sits between sleeping and waking. something slightly wrong about familiar places. empty rooms that feel occupied. fragmented memories pulled directly from the internet's subconscious.
